“So far so good. This thing is solid. I have it hooked to a 12 Volt Battery that is recharged by a solar panel. Its plenty hot for my 2 net fences. I will probably add more soon.”
“I use this to protect chickens. Connecting leads could be a bit shorter. If not careful the ground lead is long enough to touch positive wire. Heavy poly rope/wire.”
“This charger gives off a quite audible 'click' once a second or so. I called, and there is not anything to adjust or turn off. So, this is not a good choice if the charger is near the house and you don't want to hear it on a lovely summer evening on the back porch. Otherwise, it seems to have good lightning protection, in that the AC adaptor is what blows out during a lightning hit, and not the internal boardworks. I like the dual input feature, as I can use this charger when I make the switch to solar soon.”
