“I installed the Cut-Out switch onto a wood post. The switch is as described made well and very strong.
Obvoiusly the switch is a simple design, very easy to install. The connections are made through split bolts and are very secure. The blade is captured tight and the connection is positive. This switch was percfect for my installation for my electric rope fence.”
“They're a pretty okay cut-out switch but the reason I purchsed the kencove made one was for strenght. I have to say the split bolts and nuts were a big disappointment. I think theye should be stainless still and not the pewter supplied. Maybe give the customer the option to buy either the zinc plated ones or stainless still ones. I've to go a replace all of those now. Zince plated is no good in Ireland, with our weather they won't last 3 months without rusting up.”
Hi Dennis, the split bolts are designed to clamp and hold individual or multiple wires. Coated jumper wire connects the fence to these split bolts and determines how you electrify the strands. Split bolts are designed to tighten down on wires after being inserted in the slot.
