“This knife switch is almost like the ones I bought years ago, but the spring is much weaker. This spring holds the knife tight and also is part of the electrical connection, hence a stronger spring should be important. Otherwise the switch is as good as the one I install 30 years ago and is still working fine.”
“This is a good design switch and it was recommended to my by a Kencove employee who said it had better quality stainless steel fasteners than another switch Kencove sells. So I tried it, but again, though they are stainless steel, they appear to be a low quality stainless because here in the rain forest of Hawaii, the nuts show rust after about 6 months or so. My solution is to replace the fasteners with a higher quality stainless steel when I get them.”
