Staple Starter - Standard Reviews

4.4 Rating 44 Reviews
Read Kencove Farm Fence, Inc Reviews

Kencove's Staple Starter is very simple to use and has no moving parts to damage. Just insert the staple into the slot and hammer on the pin to get your staple started. Saves your fingers and prevents staples from mushrooming when driving into hardwoods.Once the staple is started, remove the starter. A few additional hammer strokes may be required to set the staple to proper depth.Remember, do not staple wire tight to line posts. Use this staple starter with standard fence staples up to 8 gauge and the wide staple starter (TDSDW) when using wide 2" staples (HB2W).

We used it today and it definitely worked starting those darn things. My help was quite impressed as we've never knew there was a tool.

Saves my forearms and prevents mushroom staples in locust poles. Quality and design is a tad bit disappointing as it looks like it was made in high school shop. But it holds up and does the job so I gave it 5 stars

Seems to be what I wanted to purchase. Have been unable to use due to bad weather.

It works but my staples are 1-1/4" so many times when I pull out the driver it pulls out the nail with it. Next time I'll get 1-1/2" or longer staples and maybe the barbed version too. Otherwise this tool works as described.

Using it on a standard width double barb staple, it often catches on the barb and when you pull it off to finish driving the staple in , the staple comes off with the tool. Not really a time saver.
