“I've had a lot of levels of retsina in the past, from the really cheap local stuff to this one which was probably the most sophisticated retsina I've ever drunk. The resin notes in white wine are not for everyone, but for me it takes me back to many a family holidays in Greece whilst also being a unique flavour. It adds a lot of depth of character to the wine, and specifically this one is a darker yellow than the cheap average stuff and the wine really 'reeks' in the best possible way of the barky woody mouldy resin, it lifts any average dinner to a new sophistication level.
