“Keto-Mojo reader is easy to use and accurate (I compared the glucose meter vs. 2 other glucose meters when I did my last lab blood test) Customer service and support is top notch.
Other ketone meters have more expensive strips which will cost you more in the long run. Breath acetone meters will cost less if you use it frequently but you dont get accurate ketone results since you're not actually measuring blood ketone levels. Maybe it's usefull enough, but I was told measuring the blood ketone levels is better to track if your in ketosis. I'm no doctor, take it with a grain of salt.
Same goes for the pee strips. How much ketones you have in urine is, as I was told, not as useful a measure plus urine concentration will affect results.
My one wish is that the ketone test strips cost less. A buck a piece is not that costly for some but I'd like to see it at .25 or even less. Hopefully as the company scales in size, cost will come down.
Also, having one unit that van test both ketones and blood glucose is handy.”
