“I finally have a reliable way to test my glucose and my ketones. I’ve been trying extended fasts in the past two months and I really need the peace of mind that the ketone reading provides, to make sure I’m still in a healthy range. So far, the reader has worked quickly and reliably. The only issue I have is in performing the second of two tests…I’ve had a few problems getting blood to get absorbed onto the strip for a reading. Sometimes the readings error out and other times my GKI can’t be calculated because the tests are minutes apart and appear as separate readings. Other than that, fairly reliable once I got over my fear of using the lancet.”
