“A life saver! It took a year, but the daily review of my glucose morning levels was eye opening. I am doing my daily monitoring as a personal game. I finally can control what I eat, and what raises my sugar levels. I revamped my diet; I give a firm no to friends and family at home and in restaurants who try to give me something that will raise my glucose. If I go out, I'll have one non-sugar cocktail and then switch to seltzer and a lime. If there is desert, I'll split it with someone and take only one or two fork fills. I try to not eat carbs, spaghetti made from zucchini, I roll my turkey and cheese with mayo, no bread, etc. After almost a year people are saying, wow, you lost more weight. I feel great and am starting to look good as well. In the beginning, my morning glucose levels were around 160 to 188, and now from daily monitoring, and figuring what foods trigger the rise in my glucose levels, I am now between 99 and 113. You should all try playing your own daily glucose monitoring game, to see what foods from the day before triggers your levels. “The reason for 4 stars is that the new strip packages are too hard to open. I could tear open the first ones I got, but I have to cut these open. I'm afraid that I'm going to cut into the actual strip.”
“I have no issue with the strips. I have big issues with the packaging!!! The plastic wrapper one my latest order is wide and hard to tear - both separating the individual strips and getting the strips out of the packaging. The previous order was narrow packaging and much, much easier to separate and remove. The order previous to that was the worst. I had to use scissors both in separating strips and in removing the strips.”
