“Rocky start with the company. My first order was missing stuff which they replaced. But, they sent the wrong coding strip in the box. Talk to customer service they said it was probably a misprint. I’m like “probably” a misprint. Hopefully, the percent of error isn’t higher because of the wrong coding strip.”
“So far... my meter apparently arrived with an expired code chip... meaning I cannot use the strips that came with my meter... I have written to customer service, and am waiting to find out what to do about it... I hate the thought of wasting so many strips because the code chip was expired when I received my meter in the mail”
“First off, I had no experience with diabetes testing and sought out this device to mainly test for ketones as part of my delving into 'The Keto Reset Diet by Mark Sisson.
Pro: Attractive device, works well, easy to follow instructions, good 'how to' instruction videos on web site. Cons: 1. Expensive Keto test strips and no generics which seems common though among manufacturers. 2. Info on how to buy the correct lancets and what to look for was poor as Keto Mojo does not sell them. I finally found info on the plastic bag they came in to see they were gauge 30. Wanting quality and nothing from China (I have quality and materials concerns) I found an older but educational lancet article (http://www.mendosa.com/blog/?p=3541) and purchased Genteel's device and lancets. Haven't received it yet but the info and device design looked good as well as their interest in quality. I hope this info will save others time concerning the main downside, lancet info, I've seen on the Keto Mojo bundle which actually concerns a peripheral, but essential, device rather than the meter.”
