“The unit was easy to check my ketone levels BUT trying to set it up was very frustrating. Could not set the date, or alarms. Trying to push the very tiny S button in the back of the unit while using the M button in front could not be done. When you press the M button the unit just shuts off. Never could set anything on it. You can't arrow up or down. The M button turns it on and off that's it....even though the instructions tell you to press the M button to set it up. I just check my keytones with it even though the date, time, alarms can't be changed.”
“The kit is great. I watched the YouTube instructional videos which were excellent and I had no trouble following them. My first effort resulted in no puncture, not sure what I did wrong there. I replaced the needle and tried again and was really pleased to see I had a 2.2 reading. I had a difficult time getting into ketosis, despite keeping my carbs low. I suspect the problem was still too much protein. I plateaued between my 3rd and 7th week, which made it very difficult to continue. If I had had the kit, I would have known that I needed to adjust my food combinations. I’ve lost 5 pounds in the last two weeks and I’m finally able to maintain a ketosis state.”
“First off, shipping was quite fast. The initial coding setup was a bit confusing as the instructions weren’t quite clear. Maybe a quick start guide that specifically explains the process would be helpful. Once it is all setup, it is very simple to use. It requires only a very small amount of blood to get a reading. My one disappointment is the included case. Since this is a dual test meter, you would think the case would have the capacity to hold both containers of test strips, it does not. It is also made of very cheap material. Not the degree of material I would expect for the amount of money paid.”
“Easy to set up and start using. Was a little confused about the 10 strip container in the black pouch but once I emailed customer service it was clarified. May want to put a note to use that first because it wasn't clear. And also that you don't need the solution to calibrate befie using. Those were the only two confusing things. And customer service was superb. Quick responses even late at night.”
