There was only one problem that I had that was not covered in the instructions. If you insert a test strip in the meter (inserting a strip turns on the meter) and then delay taking a measurement until the meter times out, then that strip shows as defective (E2 display) when the meter is turned on (and the strip cannot be used again).
Because it occurred during my first test, this problem just added to my confusion and frustration. But now I know to have the lance ready before I setup the meter and strip.
Customer service seemed to indicate that this should be obvious. It is now.”
