“I used the Ash Brown in an attempt to make my (previously bleached turned orange, and dyed back to brown) lengths and my dark brown roots blend a little better. Application was, well henna, so, messy. But it was much less so than I expected and what you may get with regular henna. Cleanup off surfaces was easy, I wiped everything off quickly and had no staining issues in my bathroom. It is very drying to your hair, so washing it out of my curly hair and combing my hair after the fact was a pain. The color is initially a little green, it warmed up within the first wash After the first 48 I used the oil which though smells a little odd in a very earthy plant way, seems very nourishing. I waited 30mins and then washed. While the color was perfect at the end of the 48 hours and after my first wash, (nice ashy brown) it continued to warm up within the next couple washes and now it doesn’t help with my orange tones nearly as much as it did after the first wash. Overall I feel better using this than chemical dyes and my hair will thank me. I might try some other colors for what I am trying to achieve and reach out to customer support to find out if there is anything else to do to help not wash out the indigo.”

“Bought the ash brown because I didn’t want red undertones. Well, I didn’t just get red undertones - I got straight up red hair. I really wanted this to work, but unfortunately it didn’t.”
“I love the idea of this, but my first go-around was not too successful. Even though I left the color prep on roots for over an hour the final result was still a very light reddish and I have medium/dark brown hair. Used the ash brown, wanted to cancel out reds but definitely have a lot of red still there. Without telling whole entire story of it seems like it will take hours and hours to achieve desired final results so the liklihood of feasibile regular use seems low, unfortunately. Will try again to mix with a lighter color for the rest of my lengths (because not looking to go darker) and will try for a longer prep on roots. If it doesn't take the next time I will have to go back to my previous methods.”
