“This is a really good quality organic tumeric. The colour is a dark deep rich yellow, and it has a gorgeous aroma.Tumeric is well known for its anti-inflammatory properties and this Kiki Health product shows that.I mix this with my mushroom powder cinnamon and plant milk with a little maple syrup for a lovely warming drink which is delicious.”
“This is good quality turmeric, and comes with a long use by date. If you use a lot of turmeric, it is much more economical to buy it this way, than in small amounts from the supermarket. The packaging is good and robust, and it is easy to access the turmeric. It has a good flavour and smells fresh and strong.”
“Glad it’s organic. Fine to add to cooking and homemade cold pressed orange, ginger & acv juice infused with mullein leaf, Ceylon cinnamon and cloves (requires a good shake) to get the tumeric off the bottle. Perfect boosting shot for autumn winter”
“I've been taking these for little over a month, and although I haven't noticed any dramatic changes in how I feel, I'm confident that it's doing something good for my health. Tumeric, especially with its potent curcumin content, is widely known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant benefits, so I'm excited to see the long-term effects.I trust KIKI Health as a brand, and I've tried many of their other products. I like that it's made of 100% organic turmeric, and their commitment to sustainable sourcing really resonates with me.”
“I’m a really big fan of KIKI health. They are a superior quality supplement brand who I feel are innovative and have a really great focus on quality and provenance of ingredients. This turmeric supplement has got some super natural ingredients. I use them because I have a M.E and need anti-inflammatory support. There is no noticable 'boom' but I trust in the background that they are doing a good job. Trust is SOOOOO important for me when it comes to supplements as the source / provenance of ingredients is crucial. And KIKI health are a brand I have trusted for years.”
“This turmeric is fab. It is a high quality turmeric and supported by good packaging, good expiry date and brilliant ethical credentials. In every respect this is a fine product. You do, though, have to pay for that; this is, by volume, a lot more expensive than small jars of turmeric from the supermarket. Those products, though, are not organic and do not specify ethical credentials - so it's a choice thing. How much are your ethics worth? Everyone will have a different position on that.”
“I don't understand this Western obsession with taking turmeric as a wellness supplement. It's basically a licence to print money, to be honest. I used to live in India, and while food often follows Ayurvedic principles, I never once came across anyone who believed that taking turmeric as a supplement was a good idea. Especially not a teaspoon at a time. Yuck - that would be sooo bitter! 1 tsp is the most you'd use in a dish to serve four people... and even then it's tempered with other spices and herbs.Yes, turmeric is used in India to make topical applications, cosmetics, and in religious ceremonies, and of course it's used in food but I've never come across it used in the ways that Western wellness movements and companies promote it. This one from Kiki smacks of jumping on a bandwagon, and although it comes in a nice glass jar with a metal lid, it really does feel like a massive rip-off. My usual organic and sustainable turmeric (which I use for cooking - nothing else) costs around £16 per kilo... this one from Kiki costs a whopping £66 / kg. And to add insult to injury, this so-called 'supplement' doesn't even contain any piperine (from black pepper), which is essential for bioavailability of curcumin. So basically, Kiki has put some standard ground turmeric into a nice glass jar, and marketed it as a supplement at a massively over-inflated price. There is no reality where I would condone this kind of behaviour, much less recommend actually giving this company money for a product that can be bought for a fraction of the price elsewhere. A big fat no from me.”
