“Above being super quick and incredibly accurate, there are many things I love about the Kinsa thermometer. I trI'd a few different thermometers before this one but never fully trusted the readings and so I never felt comfortable that I was doing my best for my kids. The Kinsa took that worry away. Since the readings are super quick, I was able to get my wiggly toddler to stay put long enough to get his temp and repeated attempts proved it to be accurate. My 4 year old loves to play doctor and can'take his own temp now, it's that easy to use.
The app is amazing, it's not necessary for the thermometer to work, but it has great features. It keeps a log of the readings and times so you don't have to try to remember. you're able to add symptoms and customize profiles for each person using the thermometer. What I loved for our family is that we could also set it to read in Celcius because my husband grew up in Brazil and still fI'ds it easier to figure body temps in Celcius. Much easier than googling a conversion when you're dealing with a sick kid.
Overall, I highly recommend this thermometer.”
“I have the Kinsa quick care thermometer and love how easy it makes it when tracking fevers in my whole family because it automatically syncs with the app on my phone. All I need to do is say who?s temperature I'm taking and which method (oral, rectal, under arm) I'm using, I'don't have to worry about what time it is or remembering the number.
One feature I love in the app is that it'shows a progress bar of how long until the thermometer is done, this is very helpful when taking temperatures of my 3 year old because she is much more willing to hold still and keep it under her tongue when she has a visual of how much longer it is going to take.
I also love that the app connected with the thermometer allows me to track symptoms as well as temperatures so I have a snap shot of what has been going on with my kids to look back on. My doctor loved it when I brought my 7 month old in with RSV and was able to tell him exactly how long certain symptoms had been going on. There?s no way I'd be able to keep track of that without the kinsa app.
The only con I have found with this thermometer is because it reads so quickly it'seems to read a little low when taking an underarm temperature on my 7 month old. I've found this to be true with other quick read thermometers and have heard it is because it takes longer to get a reading with this method and the thermometer doesn't adjust for that time. I tend to just take two readings in a row and go with the second one I get and it'seems to agree with other methods, so it'still works just takes a little longer.
I have tested this thermometer with a few others that I use and it'seems to be very accurate. The kinsa quick care thermometer is the first thermometer I reach for when someone in my family is not feeling well because I trust it and love the extras that come with using the app.”
“I bought the Kinsa Quick care thermometer for my baby to take temp under the arm. I couldn't use a ear scan'thermometer as he was too little. The app is easy to fI'd and download and seamlessly connects to the thermometer. I just found it a bit of a hassle to open the app and then connect and take temp, which is why I removed one star. Otherwise the readings are accurate, easy to read screen with big bold writing and the screen lights up for the reading. Easy to use in the dark. The best part of the app is that it tells whether the baby has a fever or not with a green smiley face for no fever and a red one I'dicating fever. It also stores the temperature readings in my app which is great when I have to give the reading numbers to the doctor. Overall I highly recommend this thermometer for its ease of use, accuracy, low price point and dependability. I'd buy it again.”
“It was giving me an error but I figured out what I was doing wrong in the beginning. Thank you for the helpful video you shared with me. I love the idea of the app helping to track medications.”
