XL Litter Box Dome Reviews

4.6 Rating 174 Reviews
I've been using KPC boxes for over a year. The domes don't really need to be replaced unless my cat Ben messes is up. He never has. Since switching to the XL box when it came out I decided to add the Dome like I had with original size. Just replaced box after 3 weeks. Surprised how much dust and litter fell out of it when I shook it. Anyway if you're looking for ways to keep area around litter box cleaner the Dome is worth the cost.

Helps keep the litter enclosed, and gives the kitties a little privacy. Love it!

I am thinking of buying the extra large box. My cat likes to stand to pee so I have to have a tall box. How tall is the extra large box with the top

Our boo boos are litter flingers. We love the dome for some added height. It has even held up enough for us to use it again next month.

I am brand new to the Kitty Poo Club, just now in my 2nd month and so far I’m a total fan and loving every aspect of the service provided! As for the dome, I love it and am grateful it is available as part of the service! I would give the dome a 5 star rating except for 2 little nit picks which are most likely applicable only to me and a likely very small minority of people (or rather, our cats…): 1) I REALLY wish the dome was coated in wax the same as the litter box itself; and 2) I also wish the dome was 2 inches taller!! The reason why is that my poor boy has congenital urinary issues (per my vet he has a condition called “micropenis” and a very small urinary tract) that cause him to strain extremely hard to urinate. And making matters worse, he has grown up to be a larger sized cat, but his urinary tract did not grow with him so even though he starts to void in a squatting position as he strains harder and harder he ends up in a standing position. Thus my issues… he is tall enough that sometimes his behind is actually ABOVE the top of the dome, but if it had just 1-2 inches more in height there would be no accidental overtopping of the dome, and if the dome were wax coated like the litter box, then I would be able to wipe it down thus having better control over litter box odor. Unlike other subscribers/reviewers who felt the dome did not need to be replaced monthly, for me, and the reasons mentioned, I WILL continue to replace the dome monthly… and I hope very much that maybe my suggestions will be considered for addition to the litter box dome. That said, even with the concerns I mentioned, and having only 1.5 months of use behind me, so far I am happy with the overall performance of all the products I am using and clean up time has been significantly improved! Even though I do think the subscription service is more than a bit pricey, I feel the convenience to this point has been money well spent and I’ll continue my subscription as long as I am able to afford it!!
