“The diatomite is wonderfully dust-free, but it gets smelly two weeks earlier than the fine grain silica. It is also “stickier” at the end of use, making changing the litter in my reusable box more difficult. I’m going back to the silica based litter, and living with its more dusty but fantastically odor-absorbing qualities.”

“I like the idea of a non clumping litter. And even more so of one that is biodegradable and better for the environment. However, for my cats this did not work. I did purchase two bags, one for each litter box, for a two cats household. It seemed ok for about the first week but then it was no longer absorbing the cat urine smell. I ended up having to throw it out and go back to a clumping litter. Disappointed in this product as I was hopeful to find one that would work well.”
