“When I first bought this (like a year ago?) I wasn't sure about the sturdiness of a cardboard litter box. How would my cat's nails not scratch up the box, especially the bottom? How would it not leak everywhere, it's practically paper? But it actually worked out great. There's some sort of film they coat the box with and it makes it 100% waterproof. I still don't know how my cat hasn't scratched through the bottom, but every time I empty it, it's still in mint condition. The best part about this box is that it doesn't smell either. And it's biodegradable. Except for the plastic braces they send to keep the box open. But I throw those in recycling every month. I wish there was an option to just get the box and no plastic braces bc they're sturdy enough to last forever. Maybe they'll read this. But I digress. It's nice to box this up at the end of the month and just throw it in the trash. Permanant litter boxes hold that amonia smell. And the box has new artwork every new shipment, which isn't necessary, but still so cute and worth it lol. tl;dr -- It's worth it”
“We have 5 cats who require a lot of litter and box maintenance. These boxes are the best I’ve found for my big boy Mr. Gable who stands and pees put of most lower boxes. They are also coated which extends their life. Mine lasts for months. We use a natural liter which I do scoop, so not maintenance free.”
“I have 2 cats and one uses the box ( without sides ) but the others one will not use it at all . I had to use old plastic box and put silica litter in that.”
“My cat loves going in her box. She will pick the clay litter over any other and the silica for urine. Which is good because the silica absorbs the urine and smell better.”
