“I prefer the fine grain silica compared to the big pebbles that come in the regular silica. It still controlled the odor but it was very messy outside the box after my kitten would come out. Also, I felt like it was wasteful every time I scooped out the poo because much of it was not going through the scooper and I had to throw away much of it. I'm going back to the fine grain.”

“No dust which is great. Poop scoops easily with the blue scooper. One star off just because sometimes I notice pee stains on the bottom of the cardboard box as if the plastic coating failed in some areas. Otherwise this litter is great!”
“I received this one month because they were out of the fine grain silica. So I can compare the 2 kinds, though they are both exceptional litters. The fine grain is soft on kitties’ feet. I had a cat with very sensitive paws and she loved it. She would not have liked the silica. But the 3 cats I have now don’t mind the larger crystals at all. Fine grain completely coats poo so there is no smell. However, it does give off a strong urine smell after a couple of weeks. The larger grains absorb urine so well that it doesn’t smell even when saturated and yellow. But it does not coat poo, which will smell unless completely buried. I had 2 cats and used 2 litters every month. Now I have 3 cats and use 2 litters, changing them out every 3 weeks. So it lasts about a month per cat as promised. I love that it’s biodegradable!”
“The silica gets caught in both of our cats paws and gets tracked all over the house. They are little balls that roll all over hard floors and is hard to clean up/control. It is Ike walking on rock salt.”
“The litter is easy to sift as the poo as is dried out and the litter filters out quickly, less smell. Fast discard each month, just box up and put in trash. I have always had inside outside cats as I didn't like the smelly litter boxes but this one works very well.”
