“My boxes with silica litter began to stink after 2 weeks. I have two cats and two boxes. It was more convenient but the smell was terrible once the silica absorbed so much pee. The boxes are great. I canceled my autoship. It's too expensive to buy it every 2 weeks at $58.”
“The silica litter works well to absorb the urine and its odor! I was very happy with that! Stirring daily (or even multiple times per day) was a must to ensure urine didn't settle at the bottom of the box. Not stirring prevents the product from working its magic, especially if you have multiple kitties who like to urinate in the same spot in the litter box. Some of our kitties didn't like the larger crystals of the regular silica, so we're eagerly awaiting the finer grain silica. We had to buy new litter scoopers as the slits on the ones we had were too small to let the crystals pass through. We have five cats and three litter boxes. We think we need to change them out every 3 weeks with the exception of one primary box they use - we're changing that one every week and a half. So when we place our order, we get 4 boxes.”
“At 70+ years, my back no longer tolerates carry a full litter box outside to dump and clean. This system looked like a great answer to that! But most important is the odor control! We are only in week #1….I ordered ahead and just adopted our cat last week, but so far the silica has absorbed all odor! I did add a bit of clumping litter on the top to transition her, but she’s taken to it just fine!”
“This litter does a fantastic job of keeping the smell of a litter box under control. My only complaint is the litter itself goes everywhere. I have the litter box and some inside of a cabinet and the litter somehow manages to escape the cabinet and scatter all over the apartment. I am going to keep using this litter though because it does such a good job. I’ll have to come up with a creative solution to help fix the litter scatter problem.”
“My daughter has been telling me aoubt her Kitty Poo club for her cat. I did not have a cat at the time, but a stray has found us and we have taken her in. I was in no way ready for another cat as I was very attached to one I had for 20 years. I like the box and the large litter. It took ZUZU a bit to get used to the noise of the litter and the box. We had used a different silica litter in our old plastic litter box and the noise was not so loud. This stray black tortishell kitty likes to go out side more than inside, but she uses it fine while we are gone from home over the weekends.”
“I’ve tried to call only to be hung up on after the recording says to email customer service. I have twice with no response after 3 days. When I try to log in, it says there is no account with my email address. Even though I keep getting emails. I’m going to dispute any additional charges and shipments! Otherwise, the product is worth using. You just can’t make changes when you can’t call or log in.”
“We like the litter and boxes very much. The litter definitely prevents urine odor and tracks less than the clumping clay litter we were using before. Our two cats are happy with the litter and box. With 2 cats, we do have 2 boxes. Our dog, who likes to buffet-surf the cat box, doesn't seem to care for the silica litter. She still surfs occasionally but less than before. It is very convenient to have the boxes and litter delivered to our home every month and then throw away the old and replace with the new. The main reason I tried Kitty Poo Club was because of how much we hated hosing out the plastic boxes with the clumping litter when they became unbearable.”
