“I decided to try this larger grain Silica to see if there would be less “dust” when scooping. But it ended up being much more messy. My cats kick it out more than the small grain and there are these pebbles all over the house that aren’t very pleasant to walk across with a bare foot. I will be switching back to the smaller grain.”
“This litter system is amazing with the exception that one cat hates and pees in that bath tub and my other one loves it, no issues. Switched to the finer grain for my next order since I think it’s a texture issue, I know think she likes the larger grain silica. Pretty confident the finer grain will work for her. Best thing...not smelling the litter box stench! Totally works in order control”
“This worked but I like the fine grain much better. When my litter box was in my den I was able to smell it (very sensitive to smell, especially animals) so I switched from fine grain to this as I was told it might help more since the grains are larger and hold more moisture. We ended up putting the box in the basement and even when I went down there I couldn’t smell the fine grain anymore but had already ordered this one. So when time to replace we used this silica one and I think I like the fine grain better. Easier to mix up and takes longer to turn yellow. But this one did it’s job so I think it just comes down to preference.”
“Love the convenience of the boxes being delivered but litter needs to be changed too often. I started at once per month, now at 3 weeks but really need to go to 2 weeks for it to be as clean as I prefer for my kitties. I really liked the fine silica but too much dust, large silica is much better with dust but doesn’t seem to absorb urine as well and sticks to their paws worse than the fine. Also my kitties don’t want to cover their poop after about the first week of a new box. I do love the non clumping feature.”
