“I started with Soy because it was environmentally better. There never seemed to be enough litter to last a month. I would buy regular, store-bought clumping litter to put on the bottom, before adding your litter on top. Better, but not great & very stinky! I switched to silica. Much better quantity & stink control. I might try the smaller size bits because my cat carries big bits into our house.”
“Of all the litter I have tried through Kitty Poo Club, this has been my favorite and my cat's favorite. It lasts, covers the smell extremely well, has little to no tracking, and is easy to clean. The only downside is the amount of dust. Despite what the description says, this litter will coat everything in your home, including your cats lungs, with a fine white dust. To reduce air particulates, I put my litter boxes inside large plastic tubs, wear a mask when cleaning, and have an air purifier/filtration system I rigged up to reduce the amount of dust my cats and home are exposed to. Despite the dust, my cats prefer this litter. My female cat hated the other litters so much she was refusing to squat and just spraying the side of the litter box (and sometimes my floor). Since switching back to the fine grain silica, she has stopped spraying the box and is squatting to pee once again! Its not worth arguing with picky kitties.”
“Produces much less dust than the fine-grain, but it tracks more easily. Stepping on it is comparable to stepping on Legos. Some of the grains are also too large to easily pass through my scooper, making it more difficult to clean on a daily basis. However, this litter lasts and does an excellent job hiding the smell. Unless its over saturated, you wouldn't know there were litter boxes in my basement.”
