“I actually had to watch a video (more than once) to put this together but I got it finally! Two of my cats like to scratch the side of the litter box to “cover” their poo time which as we all know does nothing other than destroy the box and get on my last nerve. This dome helps them from getting a true grip on the side of the box, and thus destroying it. My senior kitties enjoy the high sides and the privacy from the two kittens.”
“I have no incentive to write this, nor am I being paid or rewarded with a discount of any kind. I'm sitting here, bored, so I'm writing this out. Don't believe me though, give the product a test run for a month. You can thank me later. Well, actually, thank them cuz I didn't do anything other than write some words in a review when I was bored. So I, probably much like you reading this, was EXTREMELY hesitant and skeptical when I heard about this product, and decided that I would try it out. I just figured that there was NO WAY it could COMPLETELY get rid of the litter box odor & smell, that's just THE WORST, as well as absorb all of the moisture so you ONLY have to scoop out the poo from the cats. But I was VERY pleasantly surprised as I'm sure you can see by the rating I gave it. It's so easy to clean (fine grain silica), and the odor is NOTHING compared to normal clay, clumping, kitty litter. It's unreal. It's BASICALLY non existent. But I DO smoke cigarettes (yes, I know, shame on me, blah blah blah...) so my sense of smell MAY be slightly less sensitive than others'. So I have 2 indoor cats, that are STRICTLY indoors. I keep their litter boxes in a HIGH traffic area, because that's where they seem to want it, but it's NOT an issue for me any longer. Due to its location and proximity to the living areas of the house, this is why I was shopping for an alternative to clumping clay kitty litter to begin with. When I stumbled across this product, from this company, I was extensor skeptical, but wanted to give it a shot. I went with THIS company because they send you EVERYTHING you need, as well as anything else you MIGHT ALSO need, like treats, toys, and any accessories as well. So they send the BOX for the kitty litter to go into, with the walls that fold up, and 2 metal clip things for the sides, to keep it upright and sturdy, with the kitty litter of your choice in a bag inside the box. This makes the disposal every month, SUPER EASY!! So it's about as close to all inclusive, as one can get from a kitty litter company that also DELIVERS it to your door! I mean, how much easier can it get? The arrival and disposal are extremely mess-free and pain-free. I have HORRIBLE health, so this whole process being easy and pain-free is a HUGE selling point for me, and it DOES TRULY live up to that hype. Also, for instance, my cats are messy with their litter, so I add the domes to my order each month, otherwise it would REALLY be a mess. I also initially ordered a couple of mats as well, because there was a sale at the time, so I got them for free with some coupon code, but I HIGHLY recommend those mats as well, because they are GREAT at catching any excess, without being too rough, while also still being SUPER easy to clean. It's the gray mat with the little paw print(s) in the corner. I believe the scoop was included with that coupon code, and a couple of toys as well, and I mean..... yeah, the scoop scoops poo. There's not much to say about scoops really; they either scoop the mess or they don't. My 2 cats enjoy the toys as well; they have SOOOO many though, so it's always hard to tell which ones they prefer, because it changes. If you want to get a toy, then by all means.... just go with whatever kind of toy your cat seems to enjoy. I have the one that's attached to a handle/wand thing, with a long and thin metal piece, and a fluffy toy with bells at the end, and they seem to like that one quite a bit. I can't remember what the other toy was, at this moment; they REALLY have SOOO many dang toys, it's ridiculous! So I've tried JUST about everything they have to offer, aside from the treats. I would imagine those would be enjoyable for a cat too, cuz they're TREATS.... so they're made to be yummy; at least I would hope so. I mean, I've tried wet dog food one time (don't ask. It's a LONG story, but I basically lost a bet MANY yrs ago. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!) and I don't think they're TRYING to make that stuff edible for dogs, unless their send or taste is WAAAY different than us. They like our food too, so it can't be THAT different.... although.... my dog will gobble up ANY cat poo she finds outside, so I stand corrected; their sense of taste is badly different than ours. HOWEVER, moving onwards.... my ONLY reason for giving it 4 stars, instead of 5, is a SMALL reason in comparison to ALL of the other things that this kitty litter CAN do. That sole reason is that they claim that the fine grain silica is low-dust, and the course grain silica is 99% dust free; I found that there WAS still a decent amount of dust on the COURSE GRAIN silica, as well as a SIGNIFICANT amount of dust on the FINE GRAIN silica (enough that I actually have to wear a mask while I scoop the poo, because there's so much dust. I should probably wear one when I'm scooping their litter anyways, but whatever.... ). I would consider the COURSE GRAIN litter to be low-dust, and the fine grain to be the regular amount of dust as the clay kitty litter. Again, in comparison to all of the things that this kitty litter company has ABSOLUTELY done RIGHT, this is JUST the ONE thing that I found that kept it from being completely perfect. This ONE thing is just kind of misleading, I felt like, because I was expecting something VERY different than what I got out of those 2 products, in terms of dust level. Another thing... if you REALLY want to ensure there's absolutely ZERO odor, have it delivered every 3 weeks instead of every 4 weeks. During that last week, I think the silica beads just start to get kind of full or something, and the actual beads start to take on a SLIGHT odor of the smells it's been doing its job absorbing, and doing it well at that. That's it. You get no more insider information from me. I do, very much, HIGHLY recommend this brand/company of kitty litter to ANYONE and EVERYONE that's currently just SELLING for what the dept stores have to offer, in terms of the clumping clay kitty litter they sell. THIS STUFF is SOOOOO MUCH BETTER!!! Take my word for it, or don't; give it a try and see for yourself. You can thank me, but mostly them, later, when you realize how great it is too!”
“I have a “tamed” neutered feral male who still believes he should spray. This box contains his activity much better than the domed boxes I had before.”
