“I’m glad I bought the dome. My cat’s previous box was a 50-gallon utility tub with a dinner plate–size hole cut in the top. She is used to a lot of privacy, so I find myself wishing the top of the dome extended a little more and wasn’t quite so open. For the few extra dollars, if your cat is used to a higher or bigger litter box, the dome is a good choice.”
“So I have big kitties...not fat, just big frames. They tend to prefer the boxes without the dome, but I prefer having the dome on because they can't pee over the sides of the box with it on. The sides of the boxes are high enough that most house cats wouldn't easily pee over the sides, but sometimes my girls stand up to go and if they're too close to the edge then I have a big cleanup job. The Assembly is pretty easy once you've done it, but the first time was a little confusing.”
