“The dome does indeed help contain the fine grain silica from escaping with an overly energetic cat. I will say it took my cat a little getting used to as I've been using the box without any type of cover before. I do think however, that the dome should come with a printed instruction on how to put it together without having to go online to watch a video.”

“I like the dome. It is a bit awkward to assemble (which is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5), but it is not necessary to purchase one with every order because the dome is reusable. No litter system out there catches 100% of flung litter, but in my opinion, this dome helps trap any litter or dust that might get stirred up. Most importantly, it creates a sense of security and privacy for the cats. Plus, the dome replaces the need to use the support rods. For the cost, a dome is worth purchasing as an additional item.”
