“This is a very well-made piece of jewelry that is very sleek and stylish, but also acts as a reminder and guide to breathing properly. There are so many studies on the importance and health benefits of breathing properly, and as this product describes, meditative breathing has been practiced for centuries and we have grown indifferent to it. At first I thought there wasn’t much to it and it was a waste, but it actually forces you to exhale from your diaphragm for a longer period then you would normally. Therefore, it really does help you to focus and control your breathing over time. I have always felt like I hold my breath for no reason at times, breath very shallowly, or get chest pains from anxiety; taking time to breathe properly has given me a way to control this.”

“My Shift is a great tool for me. Not only does it help me slow down my breath (and man oh man does that feel great!), it's a daily reminder to become present and breathe, even if I don't use it right at that moment. I also credit the Shift with keeping me off of cigarettes and vape in times when I might otherwise cave (I quit years ago, but I still encounter cravings). I recommend it to everyone I know who is trying to quit smoking. I knocked off one star because the chain it comes with is not nearly the same quality as the Shift. The chain is a good length but it started turning colors pretty quickly. I've replaced it with a gold chain that I love.”
“I wear my shift pendant daily and often times use it in traffic etc. It is amazing what happens after one sweet controlled breath. I did have to switch the chain out to something more comfortable and manageable for my daily life (silk ribbon string) but I usually put the original long black chain on for dress up on weekends.
