The red velvet half was amazing. The lemon half was a bit dry, though, although tasted delicious.”

“I got a half & half cake of carrot cake and noisette. Firstly what a genius idea to be able to buy one cake with two flavours. Loved it! Both flavors were absolutely delicious. Perfect moisture, fantastic ingredients, not too sweet. Pretty much perfect.”

“I ordered half frosted victoria sponge which was quite dry, and the usually excellent red velvet was also underwhelming. I'd told everyone who hadn't had it before that it was going to be the best red velvet cake they'd ever tasted, which it normally is, but sadly this time it wasn't. I don't know if they were much dryer than normal because they were half a cake, and maybe the halves sit around a bit longer than normal? Just trying to reconcile why they were not up to the usual excellent standard. A good quarter was thrown away.”
