Regarding the sugar - the only source of sugar is the coconut aminos that we use in the marinade. KOOEE has half the sugar of mainstream jerky brands - less than a teaspoon per serving. We've tried to reduce it further, but small amounts of sugar seem to improve the texture.
It is wonderful to know that our customers care about the nutritional profile as much as we do, and we'll keep working on it.

“Sadly Australia, (for those of us allergic to garlic) has begun to rely more and more on garlic in just about everything. I loved jerky as a kid; however finding jerky without garlic these days is or perhaps was, impossible. I saw this on the counter at our grocer and was startled to see right there on the back "no garlic". Thank you Kooee, honestly, thank you! An awesome product!”

A lot of work goes into our packaging design, so we're always delighted when somebody notices the little details. Thanks a lot. Avoiding garlic and onion certainly makes the product more agreeable to everyone, and it also gives us a different flavour profile to other brands.

We get the habanero and the chipotle spices flown over from California. The habanero certainly isn't for everyone - you must love it spicy. This chipotle is a "chilli for beginners", and has the classic smokey flavour of tex mex.
