“I'm a happy Hagen owner.
I wanted to have a front-load cargo bike for child carrying and everyday transportation purposes. I found many alternatives by searching and chose Hagen Mini because it seemed compact enough for our limited storage space and urban environment. It's not much longer than a normal bike. Also, the price was ok compared to some alternatives.
I installed side panels and a baby car seat in the cargo area. Our child has been a passenger since being 2 months old and we have had a 100% success rate of sleep during a ride. Hagen has been fun to ride and I'm planning to update a forward-facing child seat as soon as the baby begins to sit.
There are some minor disadvantages: The bike and the gear ratios could have been a little lighter. Steep uphills are real challenges without a motor. Also, the front tire could have been fatter to make the ride smoother.”
