I put the cream on just before bed and I will be lucky to get 2 days of no smell. I put a small amount on my dry arm pits and rub in. Doesn't seem to last.

Hey Wayne, 2 days is a good start. A couple of things to try to get it to last longer. On weekends go commando where you don't wear any deodorant for 3 days (Apply Thursday night then only reapply Monday morning.) Not sure if you realise this. If you keep the deodorant cream with you and start to notice body odour you can apply a tiny smudge on the run and it will instantly stop the smell even without a shower. Another handy tip is to get our body wash deodorant that uses similar ingredients to the deodorant creams and will help you to last longer and leave your skin soft and silky all day.

I've been using Lavilin for about 5 years now. I run 10km most days, shower and reapply lavillin about every 4 or 5 days. I don't smell, feel like I sweat less and most importantly for me no longer wreck all my shirts with deoderant stains. I don't intend to ever go back to deoderants.

Excellent product espescially when you know how to use it. I don't think I will ever go back to the supermarket deodorants and I really like that, if for some reason you have been very active, just using a little can destroy any ordours very quickly.

Good product if you can afford it – Been using the mens deodorant cream for two years and have used two x 15g mini-tubs. I've kept notes of how often I needed to use it over this time and I used a full tub in approximately one year with 65 applications under each arm. Using one tenth of a gram per pit each time (which is the recommended raindrop size usage). This works out to be about 57 cents per day for the deodorant. I do mostly office style work but am more active with gardening and other outside physical activities at weekends. So applications were as required with sometimes needing two over two days and other times I could go for 7-13 days. I strongly suspect it has worked better when I used an anti-bacterial soap under my pits when showering as this just continues the effectiveness from the Lavilin cream which also has an anti-bacterial ingredient. So, the effectiveness is down to how much one can reduce the bacterial activity underarm which of course causes the odor. This American invention has combined this anti-bacterial component and a pleasant scent with wax. This is clever as the wax both keeps the sweat pours "clogged" with anti-bacterial component while at the same time prevents the body easily "washing out" the waxy substance with sweat. I suspect this is why they suggest using it straight after showering as a shower will remove the old cream and then you apply a new round before the bacteria can start to multiply again (overnight?). Anyway, it is expensive at 57c per application and this will vary according to how often you need it. But it has not caused itchiness, rash, or clothes stains. Whether you think it is dear or cheap depends on your budget and your need for an effective product. Americans are clever marketers and spin doctors. Sometimes their products live up to the spin, and other times they are complete rip-offs (like that "Skincell" skintag treatment which is as close to being a scam as it comes but which is so hard to prove that few can be bothered.) I hope this review helps.

Terry you certainly have been putting Lavilin to the test the last 2 years. Sounds like you are going great guns. When I calculate 36.95/365 I get 10c per day. Your 57c is per application which ranges from 7-13 days which is very impressive. If you compare it to any other deodorant on the market it is actually the most economical out there. The average person uses 12 cans of rexona per year at around $10 per can. That's $120 compared to $36.95. Lavilin is definetly the more affordable option.

Haven't used this deodorant yet as I am using Sport tub. For me Lavilin is a savour. I have used it in the past and it is the only deodorant that can get me through a day. I am a constant pongster.
