“The soil around my property is little more than a leftover from earlier mining industry. When dry, I have to break it like concrete; when wet (not very often these days) it's heavy clay.
The few things that grow well include moss, roses and agapanthus. But all need chemical help, unfortunately.
I've been using ferrous sulphate and fertiliser from Lawnsmith for a couple of years now, with great effect. No doubt these products are widely available but the on line service by Lawnsmith is excellent and causes me to return with my purchasing favour.”
