“My 3 star rating is not so much the fertiliser - which is good stuff - but the combination of your fertiliser and your Cresco bag distributer. There is no obvious setting on the fertiliser label for the Cresco to distribute this fertiliser. There is also a non-intuitive operation of the Cresco lever which releases the fertiliser. If you pull it the minimum distance it releases the fertiliser in vast quantities. The result is I used up all the fertiliser at a prodigious rate. If you use the Cresco regulalrly you work it out. If you use it once a year releasing the right amount is very difficult in my opinion.”
Thank you for your feedback. We are glad to hear you were happy about the fertiliser. Unfortunately, there is no establish universal setting for fertilisers, due to the different variations.
However, Cresco recommend that for smaller granules it is best to work at a lower setting, for two passes to ensure even coverage. A good starting point would be to use a mid-level setting, such as 3 for a half-rate application at a slow and steady pace, and you can then make a second pass to achieve the full rate.
“My previous purchases from Lawnsmith have been very good. I have not tried this fertilizer yet as I had put down another suppliers lawn weed and feed in the Spring and wasn't sure if they were compatible. I will try later in the summer to see the effect.”

Unfortunately the polythene bag was burst on arrival but luckily the cardboard box contaumost of the spill. A bit annoying but I would still recommend Lawnsmith products.”
