I followed your advice to split seed in to 4 parts to get even coverage and scarifiered and aerated the grass and then applied a thin layer of top soil 12 days I saw first shoots of new grass and 2.5 weeks later lawn Is starting to look amazing great colour of the new seed my advice is you must follow the watering schedule for best results

I love law smith for their products and advice. Great delivery and packaging. However, in this instance only about 50% of the seed germinated. I suspect this is due to the irregular weather we have had this autumn. I will overseed in spring

Very impressed with the quick and strong growth after overseeing my lawn due to summer sun and drought damage. Shoots up mostly in under two weeks. Will certainly repeat the purchase next year if necessary

I use a lot of grass seed, with over seeding & patching and admit to not having too much success over the years. The LawnsmithSTAYGREEN grass seed is already showing signs of growth and the lawn is looking better for it. I will definitely be using again for over seeding and patching in. Highly recommend.

This dressing has not yet sprouted but in the past the seed has been very good and have no worries about the latest top dressing.

I decided to completely renew my lawn this summer as over the past few years it had gone sparse and lumpy in some places. I decided to do it in two parts so that our pet dog still had access to some grass. I used a weedkiller to completely kill off the old grass and some moss then rotovated the area. I rotovated it in total four times, up and down one day and side to side the next. I took time to level the grass but retained a slight run to maintain drainage and to minimise the risk of flooding. I was then able to use my spreader to dispense grass seed and starter feed, also supplied by Lawnsmith onto the new surface and rake it in. Unfortunatel two days after there was a thunder storm and flash flooding. I could see some of the surface seeds had been affected by the water but as I had plenty spare seeds, I was able to resow a few more. After a couple of weeks there were signs of new shoots and strong new growth followed shortly after. The Staygreen grass seed has deveoped into a lush green grass. It got it's first proper lawnmower cut yesterday using a high setting. There were a half a dozen small fist size areas which were bare so I have refreshed the soil by hand and scattered a small amount of seed in each. This new grass is already well established and I will start to reduce the mower height over the next few weeks. I repeated the excercise with the other area a few weeks ago and dispensed more grass seed and starter feed and I'm happy to say the first signs of shoots are starting to show. I was initially cautious about starting the work in July due to the dry weather. The ground was hard baked due to the sun but the rotovater was able to cope and created a nice workable crumb like structure. My fears were unfounded as I did water the ground to keep it moist once the seeds had been spread. The seeds did propogate and were unaffected by the weather. I would also strongly recommend using garden netting spread over the newly seeded area as the sparrows in my area had a distinct liking for the seed if left uncovered. I used cheap netting from B&Q.
