“I have had to overseed twice now due to lack of germination. I purchased the larger bag last year and this germinated straight away.
Hopefully this second application will work.”
Thank you for your feedback, and we’re sorry to hear you’ve had to overseed twice. ShadyGreen is a little different from other mixes, which may explain the slower results this time around.
Unlike our other mixes that germinate very quickly, ShadyGreen relies on ground temperatures due to the lack of direct sunlight this gets in the shade. Early-season or cooler spells can delay germination quite noticeably, even if other seed you’ve used in the past came up straight away.
