Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“Clearly excellent quality but I couldn't get my feet into the boots! I have a SLIGHTLY high instep so my feet couldn't negotiate the ankle area, even without thick wellie socks. I was disappointed.”

Hi, Thank you for taking the time to leave this feedback, I can only apologise that you have found these boots weren't suitable with your instep. We do advise customers to try our Chasseur boots if they have this issue, the full length zip allows for extra room in the ankle are when trying to put the boots on. How comfortable are your boots?

“I am delighted with my new wellies. These replaced a similar pair I had which have served me well for at least seven years but on the downside at double the price! They are so comfortable - I can walk for miles on dog walks on all terrains. If you have slim legs these are ideal - they adjust at the top and are slim in the leg. I don't have any difficulty removing the boots, albeit up to now I have only worn sports socks with them. If they last as long as my previous pair they will be worth the initial outlay. I recommend.”
