Le Chameau are the only rubber boots to be handmade by a single master bootmaker, each pair is unique. Using the highest quality materials and with a range of iconic and innovative styles, Le Chameau Maîtres Bottiers have been making our boots by hand for over 90 years. Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“This is my second pair of these boots, they are worn extensively. I have tried several brands of boots and these by far are the ones that have proved to not only last the longest but also are the most comfortable. Although they are at the higher end of cost, to me they give good value for money”

“These are my second pair of Vierzonord wellies from Chameau and I must admit, I go back to my 10 year old pair much more. The quality of the new boots are very poor. Much more flimsy and nowhere near as supportive on the foot as the older wellies. Disappointed, especially given the price you pay. Unfortunately my older pair have worn near the ankle and the rubber has ripped causing them to leak, but had I known the reduction in quality of the new wellies, I would have opted for a different brand this time round.”
