Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“Boots too narrow in foot! My first pair (7yrs) fit like a glove so I had no hesitation buying a replacement pair I'm persevering hope they will stretch a bit because they really are the best boots I've ever had. 7 years is good going wearing them every day with horses and hens!”

“I have worn Le Chameau for many years and decided to purchase boots with a zip and leather lined. I wear wellies for work, so am in them for large amounts of the day and have previously found Le Chameau the most comfortable. These were uncomforatble from the moment I tried them on. I assume that the neoprene on all the others that I have had acts as a cushioning to the foot. These are hard under the foot and hard over the instep. They do not feel like they support the ankle in the glove like way my other ones have done. They feel exactly like Dunlop wellies, but a lot more expensive. I don't think this is because they are new because I have had enough pairs to know this is not the case with the vierzonord style.”

“Absolutely love these boots. Whilst they're wellies they feel like a fitted boot. They fit snugly around my feet, so you don?t get any of that excess gaping, and they look really rather elegant too. Super comfortable and they look like they?ll last for years.”

“I purchased the Chasseur boot as for years I have struggled having small feet to find boots which had an adequate calf width (size 2.5). Many brands reduce their calf width with smaller feet. I opted for the 36cm calf and a size 3 as I had read to go up half a size with wellies. They are leather lined and the fit is perfect, so comfortable, not loose and not tight. I have now been in the snow with these boots and my feet were still warm - with another brand I have always struggled with cold toes! Very comfortable to walk in - the leather lined is a real luxury but one which has fantastic temperature regulation - never too hot and never too cold. I have already recommended to many friends! Big investment in wellies but I know their quality will last for many years.”
