Le Chameau are the only rubber boots to be handmade by a single master bootmaker, each pair is unique. Using the highest quality materials and with a range of iconic and innovative styles, Le Chameau Maîtres Bottiers have been making our boots by hand for over 90 years. Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“Very comfortable, received them on Tuesday wore them Wednesday and Thursday on shoot days perfect, I’ve always had Chameau for the last 35 years or more the last pair I had were full zip neoprene again fits like a glove and very comfortable, only issue was after 5 years the right boot started to get damp, I still have them but can’t find the leak? Perhaps Chameau will take them back and carry out a service on them for me Great boots would recommend to any one Graham”

Hello, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I am sorry to hear about your previous Wellington Boots that have started leaking at the zip. To keep your zips in the best possible condition, we would recommend using our Rubber (Silicone) Spray to help lubricate the zip before the first use and after each use and to make sure to do up the Zips when wearing the boots, as leaving the zips open will increase the chances of dirt getting into the zip and an issue arising. “The boots are very comfortable, easy to put on due to the long side zip. This is my third pair, I wear them on a daily basis and the boots last at least four years of constant use around my stable yard. Due to the leather lining, they are warm and cool in both cold and hot weather conditions, my feet never sweet. There is a good grip on the sole as well as being flexible. I never get tired or have sore feet. Well worth the money.”
