Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

How comfortable are your boots?

“I buy these as a birthday present for my wife every few years once hers are worn out and she loves them. She's a horticulturalist and wears them literally every day so they do get a rough life but generally she gets 3-4 years out of each pair. I have a pair that are worn maybe a couple of times a week and they're still going strong after 10 years or so. Although they're expensive wellies they are extremely comfortable and for 3 years continuous wear they do represent good value.”
