Le Chameau are the only rubber boots to be handmade by a single master bootmaker, each pair is unique. Using the highest quality materials and with a range of iconic and innovative styles, Le Chameau Maîtres Bottiers have been making our boots by hand for over 90 years. Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

Hi George, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review of our Boot Jack, I am sorry to hear you didn't feel this item was heavyweight enough, as the product is designed to be stood on with one foot whilst the other boot is removed, it does not necessarily need to be produced using a denser wood.
