Le Chameau are the only rubber boots to be handmade by a single master bootmaker, each pair is unique. Using the highest quality materials and with a range of iconic and innovative styles, Le Chameau Maîtres Bottiers have been making our boots by hand for over 90 years. Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“I’ve tried so many brands of wellies over the years but absolutely love these. They were comfortable from the offset, very warm and cosy with grippy soles over muddy clay ground. Im a uk 4 with slim feet. My usual size was a good fit, with room for the thick socks I like to wear.”

“The most comfortable boots. A little warning the linning does pull down your socks if you don't pull them over your trousers! They certainly keep my feet warm and cozy.”

“After living without a pair for a few years ordered these but disappointed to see they are no longer vibram soles and the boot body felt flimsy and thin, really disappointed no longer seem value for money so returned them .”

Hi Lisa, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, we appreciate your feedback. Whilst we do no longer produce our Vibram soled boots, we have since introduced a line with Michelin soles. I am sorry to hear you felt as though the boot was thin, our high-quality rubber is supple and as such may feel less rigid than other Wellingtons. Many thanks, Laura
