Le Chameau are the only rubber boots to be handmade by a single master bootmaker, each pair is unique. Using the highest quality materials and with a range of iconic and innovative styles, Le Chameau Maîtres Bottiers have been making our boots by hand for over 90 years. Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“Owning another pair of Le Chameau boots, the traquer model interested me due to its features and attractive price. The boots received fit generally the same as my earlier boot ownership experience in that they have a high interior volume which requires an additional insole to better fit my feet. Even with this, I still get some minor heel slippage, but it is tolerable. I like that the boots are generally narrower than some, which fit me better. Overall, I am pleased with the boots and look forward to putting them to good use.”

“Still trying to get right combination with sock. Boot has hard footbed needs an insole. Seems to he less room in front half than others. I put a gel insole on and it improved greatly. Need more time with to be sure.”
