Le Chameau are the only rubber boots to be handmade by a single master bootmaker, each pair is unique. Using the highest quality materials and with a range of iconic and innovative styles, Le Chameau Maîtres Bottiers have been making our boots by hand for over 90 years. Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“I have bought these in order to add more stability to my feet and ankles as I suffer with arthritis after 24hrs of wearing them my pain has decreased significantly. They are comfy and warm. They keep out water and cow s**t excellently. Downside is they are incredibly slippy on concrete”

“Initial views are that the boot seems well made but will have to see how it fairs up. First outing stayed dry and comfortable though definitely require suitable boot socks.”

“The calf fitting is better suited to less muscular people, it is rather narrow, which means when laced around a larger calf, there is barely enough lace to tie and the front of the boot appears to gape open. Like the Wellington Boots, it would benefit from having multiple calf widths.”

“They are a good boot, no need to size up for me but everyone is different, this is a bit confusing as I always had ordered before my correct size and had no issues.”
