Using the highest quality materials and with a range of iconic and innovative styles, Le Chameau Maîtres Bottiers have been making our boots by hand for over 90 years. Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“After a few months of researching (boots for large calves) and review reading, I decided these to give these a go after a normally spending lots of time in wellies which keep splitting. They are big enough for my big calves with jeans on and slide on like a glove with no problems on my high arches and are easy to take off - that's just the fitting. So far, used them everyday for walking the dog and we go walk around 5 miles a day, through mud, streams, uneven ground and these are so comfy. My feet are dry, haven't sweat or gotten cold. This is the first time I've bought Le Chameau and whilst at first I thought they were expensive, if they last and do their job then it's money well spend”

“20 years. That is how long I have searched for a pair of long boots wide enough for my calves. Le Chameau you have made my year! I love my boots and have barely taken them off since they arrived. Thankyou so much!!!! Alot of other companies should learn from you! Bravo.”

“OMG I have to write this review...... After years of trying to find a boot in this style for my 47cm calves without jeans I nervously made the order. More money than I wanted to pay, but was taking the chance..... I mean they didn't even have zips, how was I going to get my high instep in them...... They arrived promptly & I nervously tried them on............. on top of my PJ's I was dossing around in........ They fit they fit......... didn't take them off all day & worn them every day since..... well worth the money.,,.... made me a very very happy country girl...perfect for Cumbrian winters.... Thank you thank you...... any plans to make them in black!!!! I need another pair”

“Finally found boots that are wide enough to fit following leg injury. Wish there were wellingtons in same width as I have had a nightmare finding suitable footwear. Great that foot width is good and not too big. Fantastic product well worth the price”
