Handcrafted from start to finish by a single Master Bootmaker from our signature Chamolux rubber with lining crafted from poly-cotton jersey, making them moisture-wicking for comfortable and keeping feet dry during the warm summer months. Tonal elastic panels match your boots for a stylish gardening look.

About Le Chameau:

Le Chameau are the only rubber boots to be handmade by a single master bootmaker, each pair is unique. Using the highest quality materials and with a range of iconic and innovative styles, Le Chameau Maîtres Bottiers have been making our boots by hand for over 90 years. Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

How comfortable are your boots?

“I tested these boots during a heavy rainstorm and both socks became wet! I thought it could have just been sweat, but I went back outside to test the boots, dipping them in a shallow stream for 30 seconds each, and I received the same result! Both times, I felt the inside lining of the toe area, and each boot was damp! What a disappointment! I'm not sure if the company sold me a returned item that was defective or if in general, the very thin and flexibile rubber structure of the boots failed to keep my feet dry in the rain. This is unacceptable for a brand that is well known over the rain boot world for its history of reliability. To make matters worse, my return arrived in 2 days cross-country, but I was told it would take 3-4 days to process the return completely. Don't order if you want your feet to remain completely dry and if you want to get your money back in a timely manner.”

I can only apologise you were misfortunate enough to receive a pair of boots which were faulty - I can understand how disappointing this must be. We do not often hear of this and so if you would like to try another pair please do reach out to the customer services team and we can help place an order for you. We do advise that returns can take up to 3-4 days to process at our warehouse - I can see your refund has been processed and so this should be in your bank very soon if not already. Thanks, Laura
