Le Chameau are the only rubber boots to be handmade by a single master bootmaker, each pair is unique. Using the highest quality materials and with a range of iconic and innovative styles, Le Chameau Maîtres Bottiers have been making our boots by hand for over 90 years. Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

How comfortable are your boots?

“At first I thought they were tiny bit too small but in fact are perfect, almost better with thicker socks. I’m wearing them in before a hiking trip in early October and they’re already comfortable after 2/3 walks. Quite light while good grip and ankle support. Haven’t yet worn in very wet weather but fine in a muddy forest. Love the way they look too!”
