Le Chameau are the only rubber boots to be handmade by a single master bootmaker, each pair is unique. Using the highest quality materials and with a range of iconic and innovative styles, Le Chameau Maîtres Bottiers have been making our boots by hand for over 90 years. Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“Really well made boot - after a while I have realised a bit too large on the calf so the boot feels heavy. I am sure they will last for years though!”

“Boots very narrow fitting and the rubber very very thin. Had several pairs in the past which were good and was disappointed to have return these. When I wiggled my toes I could easily see the impression of them on the surface of the boot. Certainly not worth £220!!”

The Rubber has not changed over the years, and will never be as soft as it is when you first receive them, due to it being a natural product that will harden over time.
