Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“These wellies were lighter than I expected but seem sturdy enough. The soles are solid and supportive but, to my surprise there was no insole. On my first walk my foot slithered around the boot and felt totally unsupported to extant that I turned my ankle several times on uneven ground. I have since added a pair of insoles and the boots feel really good to wear again.”

“The rubber wellies were as expected, I’ve had to buy insoles as they are not very soft inside, I would have expected this at the price. However reasonably comfortable, only worn once so far”

“After developing a hole in my 3rd pair of cheap wellies in as many months, I decided it was probably cost effective to buy better. Haven’t had them long enough to comment on their longevity, but a 2 year warranty gives me hope. In terms of comfort, these are massively superior. The rubber is very soft, they are easy to get on and off, totally waterproof and very comfortable to wear on long dog walks. They look lovely too. I’m extremely happy with them and would definitely recommend!”
