Our Giverny low has been reworked to offer the most comfortable fit. This country walking rubber boot features an aesthetic strap to add a touch of style for everyday use. This wellington boot is made of natural rubber upper and hard-wearing polycotton jersey lining. Shock absorbing dual density Cross sole with all-terrain grip.

Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

How comfortable are your boots?

“These boots are my new best friend. In the Northeast US, we have had constant downpours and days filled with nonstop rain - not our usual weather here. These boots have proven invaluable on these days when it seems to be raining UP. I also wear them out in the autumn dewy grass to walk the dog each morning. No longer have wet sock tips from wearing my waterproof but short clogs. I wore these on a long walk on a dirt road one day and they were comfortable and supportive enough. I wouldn't hike in them, but that's not what they're intended for. I used to work on a farm, and if I still did, I might want a harder upper in case of animals stepping on me. But since that's no longer a part of my life, these are more than enough. For keeping the feet and lower legs dry, these are perfect. I love the soft plaid fabric lining and the structure to the sole, making it more stable than the "smooth bottom" boots. Would and will purchase again. I'm buying my husband a pair right now!”

How comfortable are your boots?

“It's a comfortable, well-made boot, and based on initial impressions I am hopeful it will serve my needs for a long time. I took the smaller of my usual size for this -- for comparison with common brands, I'm usually a 39 in Birkenstock (occasionally a 40), a 6 UK in Dr Martens, a women's 8.5 in Vans-- and the 39 boot was great. Not too long, not too wide, and comfortable with both lighter and heavier socks.”

“Really comfortable, easy to walk in, no rubbing even after a substantial walk. Great for muddy woodland walks. No slipping or getting stuck. Easy to clean and have kept my feet warm and dry.”
