Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“The best Wellington boots i ever had. Soft, very comfortable, no blisters( usually i have this problem) . Perfect for walking the dog qnd not only. Very quick delivery. In my opinion no.1 . Totaly recommend it.”

“I ordered these in a UK6 which is my normal shoe size at first.I could get them on with thin socks, but decided to order up half a size to accommodate thicker socks for the winter. The 6.5 fit me much better and I am very happy with them. The rubber is really soft and flexible, unlike any other wellies I’ve had before. Looking forward to many years of wear! Boots arrived very quickly, and my refund was processed really quickly for my returned pair.”

“Very pleased with these boots , soft and comfortable , ordered the blue really like the colour , have had hunters before but these are more comfortable , I’m shoe size 7 , ordered 7 but were too tight so ordered an 8 , they are great, thank you would recommend these boots”

“After a lot of research and some recommendations I ordered these boots and I’m so glad I did. They are much softer and flexible than my last boots and so much comfier too wear! In fact the first time I wore them was on a 6 mile hike, no tired feet or rubbing at all. I ordered the cherry red and they are a beautiful autumn berry colour. Highly recommended!”

“I had read up on the heritage of these boots and reviews revealed their popularity. Keen to support a British company I bought a pair. Well what a disappointment, they were flimsy and the experience was like wearing a Wellington from woolworths in the 1960s. For example, my feet were not cushioned and felt in direct hard contact with the ground. The rubber of the boot on the calf flicks in and out and is non supporting. So disappointed, and have returned them to buy a pair from hoggs of Fife which are a 5 star boot probably made abroad”
