Every Le Chameau boot is constructed by one Maîtres Bottier. In order to become a Maîtres Bottier it takes 9 months of training before they are permitted to construct their first rubber boot.

“I have mixed views. The quality of the materials is excellent - your feet are never going to get wet in these!! However, I walk in an AONB and the pathways are strewn with tree roots, stones of all shapes and sizes and, at this time of year, hundreds of acorns!!! and I find, despite padded insoles and 2 pairs of socks, that I can feel all of these things through the sole - and, after periods of rain, I find myself slipping off the stones, thereby going over on my ankle. (This didn't happen with my previous cheaper boots.) I would still recommend them because of the quality, but am a little disappointed with the underfoot comfort and thought others would like to be aware”

“I have had Le Chameau boots before and have always found them just right for me. They are boots are use most days both in the garden and out for walks. They seem to last for months and months. The last pair lasted for three years and they got a lot wear and tear .... Highly recommend them.”
